Location and Hours

Make-A-Cake is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.   We close for a short time at the end of each year for inventory, shop maintenance, and to celebrate Christmas.

Our warehouse is located at 6218 Evergreen street, 77081, in southwest Houston, one block northeast of the intersection of Bissonnet and Hillcroft.  There are several easy routes to the shop from US 59 South, the 610 West Loop, and Beltway 8.

From Far Northwest Houston:

Take the Beltway to Bellaire Blvd, turn left on Bellaire.  Take Bellaire a few miles to Hillcroft, turn right.  At Bissonnet (the next light), make a U-turn so that you stay on Hillcroft but are now heading north.  Evergreen is the first street on the right, next to Droubi's Imports.  Turn right on Evergreen.  Make-A-Cake is half a block down on the left.   This is the scenic route, through Houston's thriving Asian communities.  Check out the interesting stores and restaurants along the way.  If you really want to stay on the freeways and don't mind a longer route, go into town and take the 610 Loop, following the "From Near 610 Loop" directions, or stay on the Beltway and take 59 South into downtown, following the "From Far Southwest Houston" directions.

If you have an EZ Tag, you can take the Westpark Tollway to Fondren and turn right on Fondren. Take Fondren to US 59 feeder road and turn left.  Take the feeder road to Hillcroft and turn right.  Take Hillcroft to Bissonnet and U-turn so that you stay on Hillcroft but are heading back to 59.  Evergreen street is the first street on the right. (Last time I took the Westpart Tollway it wasn't as convenient as I had hoped.  Sure will be nice when they finish that whole interchange!)  

From Near 610 Loop:

Take 610 to Bellaire Blvd, head west on Bellaire (away from downtown).  At Hillcroft, turn left.  At Bissonnet (the next light), make a U-turn so that you stay on Hillcroft but are now heading north.  Evergreen is the first street on the right, next to Droubi's Imports.  Turn right on Evergreen.  Make-A-Cake is half a block down on the left.

Or, take 610 and exit South Braeswood and stay on South Braeswood.  At Hillcroft, turn right.  Evergreen is on the right after you pass Bissonnet.  Turn right on Evergreen.  Make-A-Cake is half a block down on the left.

From Far Southwest Houston:

Take 59 towards downtown, to Beechnut, turn right on Beechnut.  Take Beechnut to Bissonnet and turn left on Bissonnet.  Take Bissonnet to Hillcroft, turn left on Hillcroft.  Evergreen is the first street on the right, next to Droubi's Imports.  Turn right on Evergreen.  Make-A-Cake is half a block down on the left.   The new Fort Bend tollway can be used also; that tollway becomes Chimney Rock road.  Take Chimney Rock to Beechnut, turn left on Beechnut, then turn right on Hillcroft, and Evergreen will be the first street on the right after you pass Bissonnet.
